The way I think about knitting or when someone gives me something hand-made from knitting, I feel like they put to a lot of effort to it. Now if I made something from knitting to give to someone like a scarf or a pair of mittens or a sweater, they would tell me that they think I put a lot of …you got it! Effort. That is what it takes to make something from knitting. Effort! If you want to learn how to knit you need two things…effort and practice, yeah! Effort and practice. Remember the three P’s? Right – practice, practice, and practice.

Ruth,
What a good observation when giving or receiving a homemade item. I too like to give away things that I have made. It does take effort and it is worth it isn’t it? Thank you for writing and talking about your experiences in knitting.
